The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC seizes four houses worth N872m from the son of a former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Bala Mohammed.
The former minister is also under investigation on fictitious contracts to the tune of about N1billion.
He is also being investigated for allocating 12 choice plots of land worth billions of naira and 37 other commercial plots worth about N8bn to a suspected front named Tariq Hammoud.
Ex-minister Bala Mohammed is also muddled in the controversial N1trillion Abujaland swap.
According to reports from the antigraft agency, more than 16 companies linked with fictitious contracts awarded by Bala had been under surveillance. Their owners have also been quizzed by the EFCC.
The EFCC interrogated Shamsudeen, Hammoud and top directors of the Federal Capital Territory administration.
Also quizzed are directors of Treasury, Ibrahim Bomoi; Land, Babayo Mainasara, and Abuja Geographical Information Service (AGIS), Ms Jamila Tangaza.
According to investigations, the ongoing probe of the ex-minister followed petitions against him, including complaints pending since 2013.
The EFCC, following preliminary findings, have obtained an interim forfeiture order to confiscate a N650 million house at 1 and 3, Mariam Mukhtar Street, Asokoro.
