Cleansing is surely needed in the Nigerian Police
Today, Saturday 30th October, 2016, at 12:30pm, along the Vom-Manchock Road, another ugly side of the Nigeria Police revealed itself. These officers and men of this infamous institution called the Nigeria Police have continued to show how incurable they really are. One of the officers along that road and who goes by the name of Teflim Nidam with Police No. 244770, stated that he is not under obligation to obey the order banning them from asking for motor vehicle "particulars" since, according to him, it emanated from the AIG and not from the IG. As far as this cheeky fellow was concerned, the order did not come from the IG, and such cannot be obeyed. It is bewildering that some of these men will wilfully disobey their superiors' order all in their efforts at extorting money. Efforts have to be sustained to weed out these disobedient men in this institution if the Police want to be taken serious. Their negative conduct following instructions from the top echelons shows how disobedient these "law enforcement" men and women will continue to be, and why law breaking will continue among them so long as their focus is collecting money on the road. And also why members of the public will continue to accord the Nigeria police the highest degree of disdain, disregard and lack of respect.
