Checking up on the status of things in the banking industry, yesterday several persons took to the media to lament of a strange and rather alarming situation in the banking sector..
The stories include the fact that several Persons deposited cheques for clearing but rather than the cheque bouncing back its been trapped in the bank for several days with the explanation of it being general.
''At First this institute told us to keep calm that in 24 hours it would be cleared, but today is Friday and I made that deposit on a Monday'' sounding frustrated as one of the customers poured out their pains in the open as others joined in the plight..
I kept asking because behind every complain there is a pained truth in it. What bank do you bank with and what banks cheque did you deposit and what are they saying is the case right about this moment.
''This is my bank clearly (Diamond Bank) That's why am here in fury and I deposited a UBA cheque. lastly there has being these story of some banks not having funds in their CBN accounts and so we just don't know how true that is''.
