In all effort to get passed the current status of the economy in Nigeria (talking about the recession), I can say for a fact that all sectors in the Industry from Banking to Agriculture to Autos, Business Analysis, Pharmaceuticals, Real Estate, Construction, Telecoms, Food & Drink, Mining and so on as the list may be endless, strives to sit in the market with fair chances of profit and job creation whereas there are so many areas untapped for instance Arts and Culture. Now CBAAC (Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilization) in good intention has meditated on this Idea which clearly carries a positive impact for the Nation. CBAAC considers activating the Nation by creating an activity that would Increase Tourist visit to Nigeria as well as potential Investors.
Did you know that 70% of Blacks around the world has never visited Nigeria? while 95% of Blacks thinks Nigeria is a no go area?
There are usually more Asians, Europeans and White Americans visiting Nigeria than blacks, whereas this is the home to majority of the now called ''African Americans''.
Well, this is a Fact that isn't fair, most of them fear ''hear-say'' such as; Nigeria is the most corrupt nation in Africa which is Headlining the World these days or Nigeria is the worlds most fetish Black Nation and all that crap.
CBAAC re-celebrating Festac 77 at 40, In my own opinion is going to correct impressions that has stained the name of this Nation for a very long time now. More so, this will bring about Investors which of course narrows down to Job opportunities, it will allow young acts and Artist who have never been encouraged to see through this light of opportunity and stand firm in what they believe in, Finally this will create an atmosphere, friendly and welcoming for visitors all over the world to come in to Nigeria freely.
Whoever says a celebration of Arts and Culture through Music, Cultural displays, Drama, comedy and many more from all over the world is Demonic in this time and age of Technology is laughable, because he or she clearly knows not the fact that he speaks about.
