Buhari vs Atiku: President presents own video at tribunal

President Muhammadu Buhari has presented his own video to counter the move made by Atiku Abubakar at the presidential election petition tribunal in Abuja.

Vanguard reports that the president represented by his lawyer appeared at the tribunal on Tuesday, July 16, and presented his own television VCD player.

Atiku who is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party had his video accepted during hearing on Monday, July 15.

Meanwhile, the presidential election petitions tribunal was told by witnesses to Atiku and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that the All Progressives Congress used soldiers to molest, harass and injure voters sympathetic to the opposition party in the 2019 presidential election.

The witnesses, who testified on Monday, July 15, were Babagana Kukawa, Abana Pogu and Suleiman Mohamed Bulama.

Legit.ng gathers that they all testified at the ongoing hearing of Atiku and PDP’s petition challenging President Buhari’s victory at the 2019 presidential election.

Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday, July 15, described the 48 compact discs evidence tendered by the PDP and its presidential candidate, Atiku, as lacking in probative value.

Four of the video clips played at the tribunal hall includes “count down of Osun decides’’, a production of Channels Television with Seun Akinboloye as host.

In the above production dated February 8, Mike Igini, resident electoral commissioner for Akwa Ibom had talked about the readiness of the electoral body to transmit the February 23 general election electronically.
