Not many will recall but in 2015, things took really interesting turns for Nigerian singer, Skiibii, when he faked his own death and had people sympathizing and crying over his untimely demise.
In a short while it was discovered that the news was false and the singer was only doing it to gain attention and bring awareness to his music.
Many fans got upset about the stunt and some swore that they would never lose their dignity so much as to fake their own death just for fame.
For singer Skiibii however, his plan failed and the criticisms hampered his rise to fame and things generally didn’t happen as he had expected. Though, in the end, it worked out better.
After the drama, the singer didn’t give up and went on trying his hardest to release songs that people will appreciate and notice his talent with.
Interestingly, his hard work paid off and his songs since 2018 have been major hits including the most recently released one titled That’s How Star Do.
While speaking in a recent interview, the artiste revealed that he wanted people to recognise the beauty of his talent and inorder to gain attention, he bought the idea of faking his own death.
